【呼吸系統】 課程大綱
呼吸系統對於多細胞生物中的氣體交換至關重要。肺臟除氣體交換外，也作為防禦傳染性微生物感染的首要重要器官。呼吸系統疾病，不僅只侷限在呼吸道。包含傳染病、惡性腫瘤、過敏性疾病、自身免疫性疾病、職業病，甚至如風濕病和腎臟疾病等系統性問題等都會影響肺部。胸腔醫學是內科的次專科。它涵蓋影響呼吸系統的疾病。包含肺部、上呼吸道、胸腔和胸壁所有疾病。胸腔模組將基礎醫學、內外科融合。因此學生須融會貫通基礎醫學(解剖學、生理學、病理學、生化學)等相關知識。並運用臨床實際檢測參數，做為病患疾病診斷依據，如肺功能檢查、生理監測數據和動脈血氣測試等，通過相對應解剖圖、放射學(如胸部 X 光檢查、計算機斷層掃描 (CT) 掃描、正電子發射斷層掃描 (PET))和病理生理學圖像等建立好的疾病診斷視覺基礎。配合藥理學所學藥物治療知識，加入內科介入性治療(支氣管鏡)，外科手術治療等臨床運用等，完成疾病診斷及治療的呼吸系統學習地圖。

因應蓬勃發展的胸腔醫學，本模組課程涵蓋該領域的所有新內容，包括新的影像學、肺癌治療指引、慢性阻塞性肺病及氣喘治療指引、間質性肺病(如發性肺纖維化)和其他肺部疾病(如肺結核、支氣管擴張、肺動脈高壓等)診治相關。另為符合胸腔暨重症專科醫學會設立初衷，課程將重症醫學、機械通氣課程及睡眠醫學(多導睡眠圖判讀)等導入。提供使用先進介入性肺病學（支氣管鏡）、基因體學為基礎的肺腫瘤
精準醫療，以及新興的呼吸道感染的更新信息(如新冠肺炎)。最後整合各種疾病及特定治療方式，從藥理學進而到胸腔手術(如胸腔穿刺術、肺葉切除術、肺移植肺及體外循環)等，構成病患康復前的肺復原計劃。最終幫助患者重建身心靈全人照護理念，獲得良好的生活品質。
