The course combines basic and clinical medicine which focus on hematology and solid cancer. The disease nature and pathology diagnosis will be introduced in the basic session (6 hours). Treatment agents, anti-cancer, supportive measures and benign hematology management will be introduced in pharmacology session (7 hours). The clinical course (27 hours) will include benign blood disorders (e.g. anemia, coagulation), tumor biology, clinical diagnosis and management of various cancers. Complications and side effects of cancer treatment and their management will be learned by students. Image and cancer staging will be known. Nuclear medicine diagnostic tool and radiation oncology will also be incorporated in the entire course. 本課程將包含基礎及臨床血液腫瘤學。病理方面，以六小時教導學生認識癌症的基本觀念，以及如何以病理診斷癌症(血液及固體惡性疾病)，藥理學分三個部分，第一部分是凝血異常用藥 (2小時)，第二部分是血球低下藥物/造血因子(2小時)，第三部分是癌症化學治療藥物(3小時)。接下來的課程是臨床腫瘤及血液學。由於固態腫瘤散見各領域，本課程將教授血液學及對臨床腫瘤學作一統整歸納性的介紹。血液學包含有良性(貧血、凝血)及惡性(血癌、淋巴瘤、骨髓瘤等)，另有骨髓移植及細胞治療。一般腫瘤學則包含有腫瘤分類、腫瘤生物學、影像診斷及分期。核子醫學的診斷及放射治療亦將包含在本課程範圍。
