本課程包含目前公共衛生的幾個重要領域，包括公共衛生總論、健康照護制度、社區衛生、健康保險、衛生政策與管理、職業安全與環境衛生、健康促進與國際衛生等。而流行病學是了解疾病或健康行為的分布或決定因子的基礎學科，本課程亦介紹流行病學的幾個基本觀念，包括基本流行病學測量、流行病學研究設計，流行病學分析策略，以及特定主題之流行病學。另外針對醫師臨床流行病學相關文獻與研究設計，也會加以介紹。教學目標除使學生對於公共衛生與流行病學有基本概念，通過國家考試之外，另外希望使學生對公共衛生與流行病學相關議題有更深入的瞭解，將來考慮相關進修。且在臨床醫療實務中能與公衛單位促進互相了解合作，正確解讀相關文獻並應用於實際工作。 This course covers several important areas of public health, including an overview of public health, healthcare systems, community health, health insurance, health policy and management, occupational safety and environmental health, health promotion, and international health. Epidemiology is the fundamental science for understanding the distribution and determinants of diseases or health behaviors. This course also introduces several key concepts in epidemiology, including basic epidemiological measurements, epidemiological study designs, epidemiological analysis strategies, and epidemiology related to specific topics. In addition, clinical epidemiology relevant to physicians, including literature review and research design, will also be discussed. The teaching objectives are not only to provide students with basic concepts of public health and epidemiology, but also to deepen their understanding of relevant issues in public health and epidemiology, with the possibility of future further studies. Furthermore, the course aims to equip students with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with public health agencies in clinical practice, correctly interpret relevant literature, and apply it to their work.

本課程將著重在系統性的介紹公共衛生與流行病學，讓同學對於相關知識有所認識，除了通過國家考試外，也可以在未來實際應用於臨床醫療工作或相關的課程中。 This course will focus on providing a systematic introduction to public health and epidemiology, enabling students to acquire a fundamental understanding of related knowledge. In addition to preparing for national board examinations, this knowledge can also be applied in future clinical medical practice or related courses.
